Cornerstone Accounting & Bookkeeping is a firm in Nevada County which is looking for a Trust Accounting Bookkeeper. The successful candidate must be well-versed in accounting methods, procedures, and account reconciliations.
We are looking for an individual who is not just adept in accounting but also has a good understanding of trust account management. If you can manage and maintain relationships with stakeholders while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all transactions, you’re the person we’re looking for. Other requirements include communicating with other personnel, office administration, soft and hard copy file upkeep. Problem solving, conceptual thinking, and a "can do" attitude are essential.
The position is part-time to start with opportunity to grow with the company. You must be willing to take on responsibility and have a desire to advance.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years in a bookkeeper position.
- Experience with Trust, Probate Estate and Conservatorship Accountings.
- Knowledge of Probate code and the uniform principal and income act.
- Proficiency in OneSource software is a plus.
- Experienced in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- QuickBooks desktop and online a plus.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ethical, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct business with integrity.
Job Duties:
- Record trust, probate or conservatorship transactions and prepare financial reports that comply with trust regulatory guidelines, industry practices and accounting principles.
- Receive and organize account statements and reports for review by the trustee or beneficiaries.
- Management, monitoring, and contacting clients to request financial data needed for the Trust/Probate/Conservatorship Accountings, and reconciliation of Trust accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborating with team members and managing relationships with fiduciaries and stakeholders.
