JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Business Development understands listening, empathy, preparation, and emotion are critical tools of your trade. They are consummate outbound sales professionals in every sense and naturally think multiple steps ahead while guiding an initiative to the outcome the client needs.
The Director of Business Development position will find new and reactivate stale bank and credit union clients for Cornerstone within the $500mm to $3b client segment. This role will develop new client relationships, reactivate stale client relationships, and create/qualify sales leads within a multi-state geographic region. Successful candidates will leverage existing relationships, meet new people within the banking industry, and learn something new every day while surrounding themselves with crazy smart team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Managing a multi-state region of outbound sales relationship development
- Building relationships with as many bankers and credit union executives as you can
- Working conferences and small group events
- Coordinating with cross-functional business unit teams
- Protecting Cornerstone’s intellectual knowledge/property
- Providing contract negotiation strategy advice based on client needs

Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent service delivery skills: demonstrated ability to create, plan and execute without oversight.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface and communicate effectively with executive-level banking clients and peers
- Proven experience within the industry
- Knowledge of the technical banking contract landscape well (core, digital, payments, etc.)
- Dedicated video call ready professional home office within the region

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 4-year degree in a related field
- 7 or more years of relevant work experience in a related role, in banking
