What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yardi Systems Administrator position at Cornerstone Apartment Services, Inc.?
The Yardi Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of the software, including environment security, software upgrades, implementation of enhancements, management of open issues list, and configuration requests with the goal of ensuring business teams are able to use the system efficiently and accurately. The System Administrator will work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and configure Yardi to meet their needs. A candidate with scattered site property management experience is strongly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage client’s Yardi systems to support Property Management, Accounting, and Asset Management functions. This includes acting as the Administrator/Super User for the software, enabling/disabling users, managing role-permissions, setting up new properties, scheduling reports, etc.
- Establish best practices and efficient workflows.
- Responsible for system administration, including maintenance of user security groups, new user set-up and security management, and general user security.
- Manage system upgrades, including testing of existing business processes to ensure efficient rollouts.
- Support data population as needed.
- Maintain property lists and account trees to support reporting, including removal of unused records as needed.
- Delete transactions as needed with appropriate approval.
- Monitor new entity/record setup for completeness and consistency.
- Work directly with business teams to capture customization requests, consulting with business users on Yardi functionality, capturing technical requirements as well as business use cases and building project plans for implementation, including prioritization.
- Oversee and complete system customization or configuration, including monitoring of third-party consultant work.
- Manage user support, including system training, troubleshooting, answering usage questions, and supporting the documentation of system processes.
- Support the extraction of data, including queries as needed to provide answers related to data.
- Responsible for Yardi vendor management, including submitting and tracking open cases with Yardi to ensure efficient resolution, tracking and advocating for software enhancements as needed, and attending vendor conferences.
- Design and implement processes and/or technology solutions to keep Yardi database in sync with other systems that depend on Yardi data.
- Communicate and/or meet with project manager, team members and others on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis to give updates and request support when needed. When problems need to be resolved, meet more frequently as needed to return systems to their properly functioning order.
- Stay current on Yardi product updates and new features.
- Develop long-term relationships both internally and externally, through interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, and executives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, finance or a related discipline or commensurate work experience required.
- A candidate with scattered site property management experience is strongly preferred.
- 5 years of experience implementing and administrative support of Yardi modules required.
- Familiarity with the full suite of Yardi products to include Voyager, Rent Café, Vendor Café, Rentmax, Payscan, Forecasting; as well as with associated third-party integrations.
- Experience with Commercial, Elevate and IQ products.
- 2-3 years of experience working at an advanced level with core Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required, and experience with extended Microsoft Suite (Lists, Visio, SharePoint, Forms, PowerBI, Teams, etc.) strongly preferred.
- SQL query knowledge, experience with import/export tools and custom report design required.
- Experience in/exposure to real estate, tax, accounting, fundraising, investor relations and/or finance sectors valued.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels internally and with external vendors.
- Ability to think independently and analytically and make recommendations accordingly
- Collaborative perspective across various audiences to include on-site, corporate departments, clients, and vendors
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills and must possess a strong commitment to customer service

Compensation Package:
- Salary Range $80,000 - $110,000
- 2 weeks of Paid Time Off to start, earned on an accrual basis, Sick leave, Parental leave
