Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, ensuring compliance with medical standards, and leading nursing staff in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Conduct thorough medical documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Provide direct patient care as needed, including administering medications and treatments.
- Assist in the management of patients in various settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, hospice care, and cardiac catheterization units.
- Mentor and train nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Address any issues or concerns related to patient care or staff performance promptly.
- Advocate for patients with disabilities and ensure their needs are met effectively.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license (RN) in good standing.
- Previous experience in a Long Term Care setting or as a Charge Nurse is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and compliance standards.
- Experience working in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with an emphasis on advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
