Cornerstone Care is seeking a Dental Hygienist for our Waynesburg, PA, location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Seats, positions, and dismisses scheduled hygiene patients.
- Completes preliminary clinic forms.
- Reviews medical history and discuss any problems with the dentist.
- Provides patient education in toothbrush instruction, flossing demonstration, and any additional information as required.
- Performs prophylaxis, i.e. supragingival scaling, subgingival scaling, root planing, gingivalcurrettage, polishing.
- Takes, processes and mounts radiographs for hygiene patients as deemed necessary by the dentist
- Applies topical fluoride on children.
- Assists with first aid procedures.
- Maintains recall system and sends reminder letters to patients for their recall appointment.
- Receives and maintains updated CPR training.
A dental hygienist may perform any duty delegated to the dental assistant. She may be called upon to assist if there are no hygiene patients available.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements for this position include:
- Dental Hygiene license X-Ray Certification, Public Health License preferred.
- Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor's preferred)
- Current PA State License
- Excellent Communication skills
- Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Rule
- Current CPR Certification
