Cornerstone Care, is seeking a dentist for its Mt. Morris, PA, location. Responsibilities are:
Patient Care
- Provide preventive and restorative treatments for problems that affect the mouth and teeth.
- Examines, diagnoses, and treats patients utilizing the Dental Department.
- Ensures that dental care is completely and adequately documented in the dental record.
- Provides emergency care as needed.
Community Health
- Monitors the health care needs of the patient population and the community, takes action to satisfy said needs when appropriate, participates in community health projects when appropriate.
- Provides health education to community organizations and/or in the health center when needed.
- Maintains active liaison with local health agencies, dental societies, and social service providers.
Administrative
- Develops written patient care management and dental care delivery policies and procedures.
- Assists in the supervision and provides direction for dental hygienists, and dental assistants; assures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning use of dental auxiliaries.
- Consults with Dental Director to assess that facility design and adequate equipment are in place to provide optimal and efficient patient care.
- Assists in formulating the annual health care plan for the center and the community.
Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Dentistry with a Degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine
- Possession of a license to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or the ability to secure a license
