Location: Sheboygan, WI 53081
Schedule: Mondays & Thursdays, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $17.00/hr
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated caregiver to provide stand-by assistance for a very sweet elderly woman with dementia. She is currently on hospice and requires emotional support, assistance with daily living activities (ADLs), and plenty of companionship.
Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and companionship to a nonverbal woman with dementia
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including setting up breakfast and lunch, helping with bathroom needs, and offering general assistance as needed
- Offer respite for family members, ensuring comfort and peace of mind
- Maintain a calm and reassuring presence, as she is often confused and scared
Qualifications:
- Experience in caregiving, preferably with dementia or hospice patients
- A compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to assist with personal care and mobility
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong communication skills, especially with nonverbal individuals
- Ability to provide emotional support and create a safe, comforting environment
