Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including clinics, geriatrics, and emergency medicine. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients, assisting them with daily activities, and promoting a safe living environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs.
- Prepare meals and assist with dietary requirements as needed.
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting such as a clinic, teaching hospital, or Level I/II Trauma Center is preferred.
- Knowledge of geriatric care practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols is a plus.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while respecting client privacy and dignity.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is an advantage but not mandatory at the time of application.
