Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Educate students in core subjects, including Math, Literacy, Science, History, and the Bible.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining a positive and respectful environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Foster relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development and address any concerns.
- Utilize knowledge of childhood development to tailor instruction to meet individual needs.
- Stay updated on educational trends and best practices in education administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field. WA state certification is preferred but not required.
- 2 years of experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Proficiency in Math and Literacy education.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance classroom instruction.
- Excellent proofreading skills for preparing instructional materials and assessments.
- Understanding of childhood development principles to support diverse learners.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
- Active in a local church
