Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher committed to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role requires a strong foundation in lesson planning, behavior management, and mentoring.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and the Bible.
- Educate students in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra help.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with high school team members as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Participate in educational administration tasks such as meetings and professional development workshops.
- Mentor students, encouraging their personal growth and academic success.
- Incorporate creative writing and other innovative teaching strategies into lessons.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; teaching certification is preferred.
- Experience working with high school students in an educational setting.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
- Excellent proofreading skills for reviewing student work and providing constructive feedback.
- Ability to foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on mentoring and guiding students.
