Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate, compassionate, and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a nurturing, engaging classroom environment that integrates academic learning with biblical principles. This position will be responsible for teaching and guiding students in their academic growth while helping them develop spiritually and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction in assigned subjects according to the school’s curriculum guide, utilizing appropriate methods, materials, and instructional aides.
- Incorporate creative and engaging teaching techniques, including field trips, guest speakers, and multimedia resources.
- Integrate biblical principles into all areas of the curriculum to support spiritual growth and provide a holistic approach to learning.
- Create lesson plans that are in line with academic goals and the spiritual mission of the school. These plans should outline daily activities, required materials, instructional methods, and methods of student assessment (e.g., homework, quizzes, tests, projects).
- Maintain flexibility in instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Maintain a disciplined classroom environment that encourages respect, order, and attentiveness.
- Address student behavior and academic issues promptly, documenting and reporting any discipline concerns, including dress code violations, as needed.
- Foster an environment of love and respect, encouraging students to grow spiritually, academically, and socially.
- Track student attendance, assign textbooks, monitor the condition of textbooks, and submit requests for replacements as necessary.
- Participate in the textbook adoption process in accordance with the school's established cycle.
- Actively participate in scheduled faculty and department meetings, in-service training, and school events, including Parent/Teacher Fellowship meetings.
- Attend and engage in school activities beyond the classroom to promote unity and school spirit, contributing to a positive Christian community.
- Support and collaborate with colleagues in a spirit of teamwork to achieve school-wide goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and performance.
- Submit grades and progress reports for quarterly and semester report cards in a timely manner.
- Prepare for parent-teacher conferences and be proactive in communicating with parents regarding student progress and any academic or behavioral concerns.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities and educational opportunities to enhance teaching skills, subject knowledge, and ability to integrate biblical principles into the classroom.
- Stay informed about best practices in education and apply new methods, technologies, and strategies to improve student learning outcomes.
- Model a strong Christian faith through daily prayer, Bible study, and spiritual reflection.
- Encourage and support students in developing their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer and biblical teachings.
- Maintain a constant, prayerful awareness of the spiritual needs of students, colleagues, and parents, seeking God’s wisdom and guidance in all aspects of teaching and leadership.
- Perform other duties as required to support the ministry’s overall mission.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Texas State Teacher Certification
- ACSI Certification

- A passion for teaching, helping children grow academically and spiritually.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employees will frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally, and more than 40 pounds infrequently with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
