We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire alarm systems, low voltage electrical work, and field service operations. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting alarm systems to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards. The Alarm Technician will work closely with clients to provide exceptional service and support.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems and related equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on alarm systems to ensure functionality.
- Troubleshoot issues using voltmeters, hand tools, and power tools.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Design alarm system layouts based on client specifications and safety regulations.
- Document all service activities, including repairs and maintenance performed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices related to alarm systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role within the alarm or electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, low voltage wiring, and electrical principles.
- Proficiency in using voltmeters, hand tools, and power tools effectively.
- Ability to detect issues quickly and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Certification or training in fire alarm installation is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.88 - $28.38 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
