Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mental Health Counselor at Cornerstone Counseling Center in Ames and the surrounding communities. The Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for providing treatment planning, counseling on mental health issues, psychology-based interventions, relationship counseling, and case management to clients on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities
- Conduct intake interviews and assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide therapy sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities that are appropriate in addressing client needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with industry standards.
- Offer faith-based counseling when requested.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mental Health, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid temporary or full license in the state of Iowa.
- Experience in mental health counseling with knowledge of various therapeutic techniques.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and clinical documentation standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in mental health practice.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
