Job duties of the Software Development Engineer may include :
Use customer tools (i.e., AppDynamics, ServiceNow) to develop and maintain dashboards that display useful system monitoring information for leadership and end usersDevelop, test and deploy updates to ServiceNow based on customer requirementsCollaborate effectively with ServiceNow System Engineers and developers to develop solutions and handle general updates and configuration changes / requestsProvide guidance to end users on how to make adjustments to system dashboardsUse experience and data trends to determine what system monitoring information / metrics should be collected and displayed to add value to the end userUse experience with customer's monitoring tools and knowledge of customer's strategic objectives to identify areas of improvement and recommend implementation plansResearch, design, develop, and / or modify enterprise-wide systems and / or applications softwareParticipate in in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standardsDocument testing and maintenance of system correctionsInteract with customers for support and servicesResearch, understand, and develop using new technologies and standards as neededHandle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environmentImplement corrective actions
Required Education, Experience, & Skills :
We are looking for experienced Software Development Engineers to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer. A Bachelor's or Master's degrees are preferred with a minimum of sixteen (16) year's relevant experience or at least eighteen (18) years' experience in lieu of a degree.
Qualified candidates with the following skillsets can be considered : Strong understanding of ServiceNow Development Platform including, but not limited to, ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HR Module, Customer Service Management (CSM), Asset Management, Change Management, Customer Development, etc.Proven significant success developing and integrating ServiceNow products using JavaScript and other coding applicationsLinux scripting experience (Python, Java, Ruby, or .Net); working within the Linux CMD lineDevelopment experience in Cloud environment (Amazon Web Services)Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methodsAbility to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently, and also work in a team environmentAptitude and willingness to work with variety of newer emerging technologies / tools as opportunities demandAbility to deliver enhanced functionality, aid with new implementations, and provide continuous support within the scheduled time while preserving system integrity requiredHigh degree of initiative, creativity, and technical ability to function on this team required Preferred
Experience in AppDynamics development and integrationAWS Cloud Certification(s)
