Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information, including treatment plans and medical histories.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Manage sterilization of dental instruments and ensure compliance with aseptic techniques.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when required, ensuring precision in capturing dental impressions.
- Monitor vital signs of patients prior to procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Provide support in various specialties including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatrics as needed.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques to enhance patient care.
Skills
- Proficiency in general dentistry practices with a solid understanding of dental terminology.
- Experience with 3D scanning technology is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Familiarity with managing medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to monitor vital signs effectively and recognize any potential issues during patient care.
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry, enabling effective communication with patients regarding their treatment plans.
- Experience or interest in pediatrics is a plus, enhancing the ability to work with younger patients.
