Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/EFDA to join our growing dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Perform medical imaging, including X-rays, as needed for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and update patient records using Eaglesoft software.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and following up on visits.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.
- Monitor vital signs when required and assist in managing patient care during procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with medical documentation, medical coding, and record keeping is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Knowledge of endodontics and other specialized dental procedures will be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
