As the Assistant Manager of one of our Service Division, you will play a crucial role in estimating and sales. You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, developing and maintaining client relationships, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will also provide guidance to technicians and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for service projects
- Develop and maintain client relationships to secure sales
- Review and interpret project specifications and drawings
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate and timely project completion
- Conduct site visits to gather project data and assess conditions
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals
- Monitor project budgets and timelines
- Maintain thorough records of estimates, bids, and sales activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Provide regular updates to the Service Manager on project and sales status
- Train and mentor assigned technicians in estimating and sales processes
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in estimating and sales within a technical or construction-related field required; 4-6 years preferred
- Strong understanding of estimating processes and sales strategies
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of basic construction technology and approved practices
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Capability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., tight or dirty conditions)
- Ability to travel to various job sites as required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills for estimating and budgeting
