We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales/Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for bid preparation, project estimating, proposal creation, and maintaining positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Bid preparation and submission of bid documents
- Project estimating and cost estimation
- Proposal preparation and presentation
- Procurement of records and budgeting of goods and services
- Supplier performance rating and product inspection
- Maintaining positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Scope analysis of potential subcontractors and suppliers
- Finalizing job cost estimates and negotiating subcontractor bids
- Establishing project schedules and tabulating bonds
- Conducting sales presentations and keeping up with industry trends
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High School Diploma;
- Preferred: College Degree in Construction Science or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the construction industry or degree in a related field;
- 5 years of industry experience preferred
- Licensing: As required per state of performance
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Occasional vehicle and air travel required
