Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students. This position requires a passion for childhood development and the ability to engage with children effectively, fostering their growth and learning through various educational activities.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and organized learning environment.
- Help develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Engage with children in activities that promote literacy education, math skills, and overall cognitive development.
- Provide care and supervision during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
- Foster an understanding of Montessori principles or similar educational philosophies as applicable.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and implement individualized support for children with special education needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
Qualifications
- Experience or coursework in childhood development, childcare, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong skills in classroom management and the ability to create an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Knowledge of curriculum development strategies that cater to various learning styles.
- Familiarity with early childhood education concepts, including literacy education, math, and toddler care.
- Experience working in a private school setting is a plus.
- A background in special education is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children's growth.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
