RATE OF PAY/SALARY: $75,000 annually

General Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Director of Programs, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to the counseling staff and ensuring compliance with organizational and OASAS regulations.
Key Competencies:
- Ensure the objectives and outcomes of the program are met.
- Provide coaching and guidance to counselors to optimize quality of documentation, communication to team members and clients, and overall care of clients.
- Ability to provide core competencies including conflict management, professional communication, problem solving, leadership.
- Assure compliance with regulatory standards of governing bodies to ensure viability of programs.
- Communicate and collaborate with the Director of Programs, Site Administrator, and Medical Director to carry out all program and staff needs.
Description of Duties:
- Provide supervision to counseling staff.
- Ensure compliance with OASAS regulations.
- Conduct weekly interdisciplinary meetings for case review.
- Conduct monthly chart reviews to ensure compliance. For new employees additional chart reviews will be required.
- Ensure client compliance with all program rules and regulations.
- Provide case management and advocacy services to an assigned caseload.
- Participate in monitoring the therapeutic environment to ensure that the behavioral guidelines are followed, a therapeutic milieu is maintained and interpersonal relationships remain positive.
- Provide psycho-education and counseling appropriate to chemical dependency and relapse prevention.
- Participate in assessment screenings to determine client needs/preferences; formulates and implements treatment, transition and discharge /continuing care planning collaboratively with individual clients.
- Facilitate the re-socialization process of clients. Provide role modeling regarding ethical and professional conduct.
- Conduct facility safety checks as assigned to visually assess clients for the use of alcohol/drugs or the environment of care for unsafe conditions.
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate, complete, timely and high-quality client records that comply with external regulatory standards and agency policy and procedure.
- Comply with 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPPAA privacy and security regulations.
- Work cooperatively with other staff as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Function as a liaison/advocate to client’s families and other agencies as needed.
- Provide outreach, education and prevention services to the local community, schools, groups and agencies as necessary and as provided by management staff.
- Provide crisis intervention and management, generating referrals to agency or external mental health providers or other service providers, as indicated.
- Attend and participate in weekly monthly staff and other required meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum of a BA/BS in a related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a supervisor in the field of substance abuse
Basic computer skills
CASAC-Advanced, CASAC-MC, or QHP with significant methadone experience
