Description:
The treatment plan coordinator serves as an advocate and educator in creating treatment plans for dental care. The role is essential in securing treatment plans and coordination of financial resources and or insurance requirements. Additionally, this role ensures continuous communication between patients and providers.
- Acts as a liaison between Dentists and patients in terms of communicating financial obligations related treatment plans or changes in treatment plans.
- Always demonstrates excellent communication skills.
- Always maintaining a communication with Dentist and patient.
- Explain the treatment plan, address patient concerns, and answer any questions.
- Assist the patient in prioritizing the treatment and establish a plan for scheduling and payment.
- Build trust and understand the patient's objectives.
- Conduct financial consultations with all new patients and existing patients when new treatments are presented.
- Manage and maintain the payment options and policies for patients to uphold practice financial integrity.
- Understand the practices of policy on working with dental benefits plans and be prepared to educate patients on their dental benefits.
- Track patient accounts and outstanding balances to ensure timely payment.
- Printing treatment plan agreement from ECW and explaining to patients the treatment plan and payments.
- Scanning consents of treatment plans into patient's EMR.
- Perform general office duties and other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- At least one-year clerical experience
- Knowledge of Data Entry
- Pleasant telephone manner and ability to work under pressure
- Experience in a Dental setting
- Bilingual (Spanish) Highly preferred
