Position
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Programs, the Associate Program Director - Art will be responsible for planning, preparing, and implementing art education with the support of the program team. .
Responsibilities
Cornerstone Creates - Art Class
- Plan art lessons for each program site tailored to partner’s wishes, students ages and program requirements.
- Prepare the space for students and volunteers to utilize (including materials, art supplies, etc).
- Shop for any needed supplies and complete monthly expense reports
- Intentionally interact with partners, students, volunteers, parents, staff and any other involved person in the program.
- Recruit and assist volunteers by collecting any paperwork needed and training volunteers.
- Take attendance for tracking purposes.
- Be in communication with Sr. Vice President of Programs with curriculum ideas, behavior issues, partner updates and any other pertinent information.
- Clean up space used and if needed lock up spaces.
- Collect and return supplies in an orderly fashion.
- Explore new opportunities for art partnerships.
Cornerstone Creates - Summer Programming
- Create a summer art offering plan.
- Secure space for summer art classes/camps.
- Plan, write and prepare a curriculum.
- Prepare the space for students and volunteers to utilize (including materials, art supplies, etc).
- Shop for any needed supplies and complete monthly expense reports
- Intentionally interact with partners, students, volunteers, parents, staff and any other involved person in the program.
- Recruit and assist volunteers by collecting any paperwork needed and training volunteers.
- Take attendance for tracking purposes.
- Be in communication with Sr. Vice President of Programs with curriculum ideas, behavior issues, partner updates and any other pertinent information.
- Clean up space used and if needed lock up spaces.

- Explore new opportunities for art summer partnerships.
Spring Branch ISD Art Summer Intern
- Meet with SBISD CTE office to gather information about internship program
- Connect with SBISD teachers to present opportunity to students
- Interview and assess student applicants
- Train and equip student intern(s)
- Coach and provide feedback to student intern(s)
- Reflect and improve internship program year over year
After School Enrichment Program
- Plan weekly art rotations and communicate to Site Leads
- Shop for weekly art supplies and complete monthly expense reports.
- If schedule allows, assist and attend each site one day per week to build rapport with students.
Other Duties
- Work in tandem with program staff to create year long program calendar
- Participate in the weekly staff meeting
- Assist as needed with fundraising events (Impact Lunch and Spotlight Gala)
- Assist and attend Connect Lunches
- Attend Stoney Creek Camp as a wrangler
- If other program staff is out - assist and execute Micro Groups or Fun Friday
- Must currently possess or be able to obtain a CDL Class B Driver License with passenger endorsement within 12 months of being hired or within 6 months of turning 25
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree - art education experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with students and volunteers
- Proficient in using technology platforms as a reporting tool
- Strong personal outreach skills
- Ability to write and implement curriculum for a variety of ages (Kindergarten through 12th grade)
- Developing, Strengthening, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to build relationships with individuals that lead to the Gospel being shared
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must currently possess or be able to obtain a CDL Class B Driver License with passenger endorsement within 12 months of being hired or within 12 months of turning 25
- Evidenced relationship with Jesus Christ
