IS THIS POSITION FOR YOU?
As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible to drive the strategic initiatives of CFCU as they relate to building member relationships, providing quality service, and achieving branch profitability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Directly responsible for providing leadership to the Assistant Branch Manager with emphasis on coaching and developing branch staff.
- Lead by example in coaching and motivating branch employees on teamwork, superior customer service, and creating a sales and service culture within the branch. Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with individual employees to improve sales skills and behaviors. Conduct regular weekly sales and service meetings.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor cost within branch budget that is consistent with the overall long-range plan of the credit union.
- Evaluate individual performance of employees, recommend salary adjustments, and provide training and development as needed. In consultation with the Branch Operations Manager and the Human Resources Manager, hire, promote, transfer, dismiss, or change the status of employees.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners, such as Mortgage Manager, Small Business Account Manager, Development Officer, and Member Financial Services Representative.
- Ensure that the branch is in compliance with all laws, regulations, and practices. Work with Internal Audit Manager to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Manage and analyze the security and safety of the branch. Ensure security procedures are followed and staff are properly trained.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department by recommending, developing, and implementing promotional activities with Select Employee Groups (SEG's) within your market. Assist the Development Officer with sign-ups and community events in order to represent the credit union, promote goodwill, generate new business, and build relationships within the community. Seek new opportunities to promote the credit union services with other companies and organizations.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS : Education
A degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or related areas from an accredited four-year college or university is desired. Prefer business school or related post high school training.
Experience
Minimum five years financial institution experience in branch banking or retail sales related work. Minimum of two years supervisory experience in the above areas. Lending experience is required. Leadership skills and the ability to coach sales and service behaviors to others is required. Must have the ability to work under pressure and handle detailed activities.
Physical, mental and visual requirements
The responsibilities of this position are divided into several areas within the branch office. The Manager must be able to move freely and quickly from one area to another as needed. Accurate visual observation for computer work, as well as audio and manual dexterity skills are needed. Must have the physical ability and independent mobility to call on Select Employee Groups (SEG's) and deliver promotional materials. The position also requires a great deal of time on the telephone and the ability to function in an environment of occasional high stress.
