POSITION OVERVIEW
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Cornerstone seeks a full-time professional to support our client accounts. All individuals in our Louisiana office manage a variety of administrative tasks and support each other with client service activities. In addition, administrative tasks are necessary to support new and existing government relations clients. This position is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
This position is responsible for several client service and administrative tasks including, but not limited to:
- Assisting with administrative and support duties, including scheduling.
- Assisting with legislative fundraising, scheduling meetings, organizing events, and legislative receptions.
- Attending subcommittee and committee meetings during the legislative session as needed.
- Monitor and update our legislative tracking service each morning during the legislative session.
- Provide clients with weekly legislative reports from our legislative tracking service during the legislative session.
- Drafting weekly newsletters with legislative bill reports during the legislative session.
- Drafting monthly newsletters during the months when there are no legislative sessions.
- Drafting memorandums and other client-related documents.
- Participating in team client calls to memorialize tasks assigned.
- Coordinate internal staff meetings and agendas and assist with listing action items needed.

- A basic understanding of government relations or relevant work experience in a related field;
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel), Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat; and
- Proficiency with web browsers (Explorer, Chrome) and virtual platforms.
