Position Description
The Clinical Director is responsible for the oversight, management, and training of all clinical treatment services. The Clinical Director will assure that all programs and services operate in strict accordance with all contract, licensure and agency policies and procedures and budgetary requirements.
The Clinical Director reports to the COO.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assure that the programs operate in strict accord with Cornerstone Healing Center LLC philosophy, policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Assures that the programs operate in strict accord with state and federal regulations, licensure requirements, and client contractual obligations.
- Assures for the safeguarding of client rights, safety, security, and quality client care services.
- Assures for the hiring, discipline, supervision, performance evaluation, training and development of all clinical personnel.
- Provides direct clinical services including individual, family sessions and interventions when needed. The Clinical Director will oversee direct care from the clinical staff.
- Monitors and assures that Cornerstone Healing Center annual goals and objectives with regard to utilization rates, program completion rates, and client fee collections are effectively communicated, implemented, and achieved by clinical personnel and will initiate written corrective action plans to correct and or improve program operations and or the performance of clinical personnel.
- Monitors the provision of training and supervision and assures for the proper scheduling and operations of clinical staffing and case conferences.
- Implementing, coordinating and monitoring with the Executive Director to provide training and supervision assuring for the safety, security, cleanliness, and orderliness of facilities in strict accordance with federal, state and county fire, safety, and health regulations.
- Participates in administrative meetings as regularly scheduled, and/or as directed by the Executive Director.
- Participates in the development and monitoring of insurance verifications and utilization reviews coordinating with billing and other sources of revenues and services, providing written corrective action plans as necessary.
- Participates in the review of all clinical and medical charts and conducts and records weekly staff meeting.
- Assures for the development, implementation, and participation in on-call and crisis management services and provides advance directives and planning to assure for the stability of programs operations.
- Participates in the development and implementation of the quality improvement services; including regularly scheduled field auditing of clinical documentation and services to assure for compliance with contracts, licensure requirements.
- Periodically review, revise, or develop new policies and procedures, program descriptions, manuals, instructional information staff and other materials necessary to enhance and improve program and staff performance.
- Participate in the generation of statistical data and reports, perform research, literature review and provide research analysis data and recommendations for corrective action and or improvement planning.
- Establish written communication process to record and document compliance with all areas of responsibility.
- Assures clients rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, Individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage a complaint in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Provides regularly scheduled supervision and training to the Case Manager and Outpatient Treatment staff and Interns to be documented to their personnel records, including written corrective action as necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years supervisory and Program.
- Management and supervisory experience in the field of chemical dependency in the Behavioral Sciences.
- License: Unencumbered Licensure by the State of Arizona in the Behavioral Sciences (LISAC, LMHC, LCSW, LPC or LMFT)
- Other qualifications: Must be able to write and speak fluent English.
- Proven skills operating computer systems such as Microsoft Office programs and Electronic Health Records.
- Valid driver’s license and personal transportation.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Proven experience in healthcare management or medical management roles.
- Strong understanding of JCAHO regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
