As a Produce Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the freshness and quality of our produce section. Responsibilities
- Stock and display fresh produce in accordance with company standards.
- Package fruits and vegetables for sale, ensuring proper labeling and pricing.
- Load and unload deliveries, checking for quality and freshness of products.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding produce selection and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness in the produce area, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely when necessary (training provided).
- Perform basic retail math to ensure accurate pricing and stock levels.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or retail environment is preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus to enhance customer communication.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving products up to 50 pounds.
- Attention to detail in packaging and stocking produce items.
- Willingness to maintain a clean work area at all times.
