Position Summary : The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of products by performing comprehensive testing and analysis. This position is responsible for identifying defects and ensuring that products meet the defined specifications, standards, and user requirements. The QA Specialist collaborates closely with development, product management, and other teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Test Planning & Design :
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and product specifications to ensure thorough test coverage.
Execute manual tests to identify issues and validate that the product meets the specified requirements.
Perform regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and postproduction verification testing.
Identify, report, and track defects using issue-tracking tools.
Document test results and file bug reports with clear and concise steps to reproduce the issues.
Collaborate with other teams to verify / reproduce bugs and assist in troubleshooting.
Identify, document, and prioritize defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues in the product, ensuring they are logged and tracked using appropriate defect management tools.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
1.Bachelor's degree required although significant experience in a similar job role may be acceptable in lieu of degree.
2.Experience with testing processes is preferred.
3.Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Axosoft, etc.) and defect tracking systems.
4.Proficiency in writing detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
5.Basic understanding of technology and related business processes.
6.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues.
7.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and report test results and issues.
9.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
