Floater Teacher Assistant

The Team Leader is responsible for supervising and supporting staff, ensuring high-quality care and education for children, and maintaining a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. This role includes mentoring staff, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and center policies.

Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:

• Supervise and support child care staff, fostering a positive team environment.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to staff members to ensure high-quality care.
• Assist in scheduling and ensuring appropriate staff-to-child ratios.
• Act as a role model, promoting professionalism and best practices in child care.

Child Care & Development:

• Ensure children’s safety, well-being, and development through engaging activities.
• Support staff in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and guardians.
• Monitor children’s progress and address any concerns with staff and families.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, health, and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security in the child care environment.
• Address and report any incidents, concerns, or accidents following center policies.

Parent & Community Engagement:

• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress and well-being.
• Plan and participate in parent meetings and community events.
• Address concerns or feedback from families professionally and effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• On call
