We are seeking a Regional Director of Clinical Services to lead and support clinical operations across our communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri and Colorado.
Position Summary:
The Regional Director of Clinical Services provides clinical leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for assisted living and memory care communities under Cornerstone Management. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of resident care, compliance with state regulations, and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a passion for senior care and a strong background in clinical services.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership and Oversight:
- Provide direction and support to community clinical teams to ensure high-quality resident care.
- Conduct regular visits to communities to assess clinical operations, resident care plans, and staff performance.
- Collaborate with Executive Directors, Nursing and other leaders to promote effective care delivery and operational efficiency.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with state and federal assisted living regulations across communities.
- Lead internal audits, prepare for external inspections, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and communicate changes to community leadership.
Quality Assurance and Improvement:
- Oversee quality assurance programs, including tracking performance indicators (e.g., falls, medication errors).
- Implement initiatives to improve resident outcomes and clinical efficiency.
- Conduct reviews and audits of clinical documentation and care plans.
Staff Development:
- Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for clinical staff.
- Ensure competency assessments are completed and documented for direct care staff.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes staff retention and engagement.
Resident and Family Relations:
- Serve as a clinical resource for families, addressing concerns and questions about resident care.
- Participate in care planning meetings to ensure resident needs are met with a person-centered approach.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota with ability to obtain license in other states.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with significant experience will be considered.
- At least 5 years of nursing experience, including 2 years in a leadership role within assisted living, long-term care, or senior care.
- Strong knowledge of assisted living regulations, quality assurance programs, and clinical best practices.
- Ability to travel regularly to communities within the region (up to 100%).
Preferred:
- Experience with multi-site management or regional leadership roles.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Previous experience in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
