Job Summary:
Responsible for manufacturing, rework and repair of tooling and machined parts. Take raw stock material and manufacture complex tools per print. Produce fixtures and machine parts for use in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, layout, fabricate, assemble, maintain and repair tools and fixtures. Work to specifications on blueprints, sketches and models. Set-up and operate all types of machine tools, manual and cnc, necessary to accomplish work assignments. Assist in troubleshooting machines, tools, fixtures and details. Verify dimensions, alignments, using measuring instruments such as dial indicators, gauge blocks and micrometers. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Must be willing to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules. May perform more advanced functions as part of training and development.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Associate degree from a 2 year college or technical school a plus. 5 to 7 years experience in related field. Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
