Intake Therapist-Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)

• Responsibilities of the Intake Therapist
• Complete 1-2 intakes for two ACT teams weekly, including all outreach, assessment, documentation, pre-screening, collateral contact and research in order to meet fidelity requirement
• Act as liaison between new clients and ACT staff, developing treatment plans, conducting assessments and supporting both staff and clients with developing rapport and goals for person-centered recovery
• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy sessions off-site in the community with caseload of ACT clients, using eclectic CBT, DBT, MI, Psychoanalytical, harm reduction and Trauma-informed practices, Completing psychosocial and diagnostic evaluations, as needed
• Qualifications of the Therapist
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related degree, licensure in State of Maryland (LCSW-C. LMSW, LGPC, or LCPC)
• Experience providing mental health services and / or addictions counseling is required
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (as determined by HR) required. Must have access to a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes. May be required to transport clients in personal vehicle.
