What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Clerk position at Cornerstone Orthopedic Institute?
Established and successful orthopedic practice is looking to hire a self-motivated and enthusiastic, Medical Records Clerk. Cornerstone Orthopedic Institute has proudly served the South Texas Region for over 25 years. The COI is currently the premier location in Rio Grande Valley to receive orthopedic services. In addition to local residents, the practice also serves patients from all over the western hemisphere, who travel in order to seek the expert advice of our elite providers and prestigious and innovative patient quality care.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
· Ensuring the medical records are organized, accurate, and complete.
· Preparing patients charts and gathering information and documents from patients.
· Creating digital copies of paperwork and storing the records in the EMR system.
· Communicate timely and accurately with referral offices requesting patient records.
· Schedule, Cancel, and Reschedule appointments.
· Answer phone calls and assist patients when needed.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
