Overview
The Shuttle Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Manager with overseeing the daily operations of the shuttle service, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely transportation for passengers utilizing the hospital employee shuttle system. This role involves managing shuttle drivers, scheduling routes, maintaining vehicles, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Shift
- Tuesday – Saturday; 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shuttle drivers.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
- Address any driver’s concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
- Develop and maintain shuttle schedules to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Monitor shuttle routes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate traffic conditions and passenger needs.
- Ensure drivers adhere to schedules and routes.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of passengers and drivers.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of shuttle vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs for shuttle vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for service.
- Address passenger inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing courteous and efficient service.
- Maintain accurate records of driver schedules, routes, and performance.
- Prepare reports on shuttle operations, including ridership statistics and incident reports.

- 136 PTO Hours, available upon hire

- Responsible driving record.
- Previous leadership experience: leading a team of drivers preferred.
- Previous experience with creating and maintaining employee schedules, vehicle maintenance schedules, and other related items outlined in job responsibilities.
- High standard of integrity and desire to lead by example.
- Experience delivering quality service in customer/public environment.
- Display a positive attitude, flexibility, initiative and ability to communicate effectively.
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and converse in the English language.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
