Overview
The Shuttle Cart Driver provides safe, efficient, and friendly inter-campus transportation service to passengers, utilizing the Wellstar Cobb Hospital shuttle cart system. Valid Driver’s License required.
Shift
- Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Drive passengers to and from designated locations on campus in a safe and timely manner.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to passengers.
- Ensure shuttle cart vehicle is clean and free of debris at all times.
- Log accurate passenger counts each hour and report data as needed.
- Report any shuttle cart maintenance issues to supervisor immediately.
- Obey all traffic laws at all times.
- Greet and assist arriving/exiting Patients and Visitors.
- Retrieve wheelchairs if needed.
- Address customer questions, problems, and complaints in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Give directions to guests as needed as well as information about other parking areas.
- Provide parking enforcement of parking garages and patient areas.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license, responsible driving record.
- Previous driver experience.
- Desire to help others – have a passion for customer service.
- Minimum of one year customer service experience, preferred.
- High standard of integrity.
- Possess a positive attitude, professional and courteous demeanor.
- Able to read, write, comprehend and converse in the English language.
- Physical demands: Ability to work indoors/outdoors in variety of weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time. A combination of standing and walking.
- Able to sit for extended periods of time.
