Overview
The Valet Captain position is a high profile, customer service position. Individuals must be personable and compassionate, as they serve patients and visitors of the hospital. The Valet Captain assists the Valet Assistant Managers and Managers in the leading of valet staff and overall operations of the Valet department.
Responsibilities
- Lead by Example: set the standards and expectations for Valet department. Consistently demonstrate courtesy and professionalism when interacting with customers, colleagues, management and leadership teams, and our client.
- Adhere to Cornerstone’s mission, core values, and cultural standards.
- Report to work on time and for your scheduled shifts. Must be flexible, and able to adapt to changes in shift times as the needs of the operation demand.
- Report to work in proper uniform.
- Assist valet department management with all aspects of daily operations including management arrival and departure areas, keyboards, valet stalls/lots, issuing change, tickets, and supplies, etc.
- Train new Valet team members.
- Lead Huddle sessions.
- Attend management huddles/meetings as requested.
- Learn and use CVPS software program.
- Learn and know all valet department positions and cover various positions/areas as needed.
- Provide parking information and directions to customers.
- Resolve customer complaints, operational issues as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License, able to operate a manual transmission.
- Able to promote and instill enthusiasm, passion, teamwork & leadership in all operating platforms.
- Demonstrated Leadership skills. Desire to serve others and encourage your teammates.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills (written & oral).
- Possess a strong desire to serve and care for all customers with courtesy and professionalism.
- Physical demands:
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Accounts for 95% of shift time.
- Driving and parking vehicles of varying sizes, if applicable.
- Ability to withstand varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc., if applicable.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Able to read, write, comprehend and converse in the English language.
