Depending on skills and experience, rate of pay usually starts above minimum wage, with a ( /-) 5-10% increase within 3-6 months.
Job Expectations:
- Net any debris, such as leaves, insects, toys, etc. from the bottom of the pool. The technician must be able to use a variety of pool cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and water powered Leaf-masters.
- Skim the surface of the pool making sure to remove any debris including that which may be stuck to the tile and any inflatable pool toys.
- Empty all skimmer baskets and clean out the cleaner bag, basket, or screen. Be sure to hose off any Velcro closures so that they will stay closed.
- Empty the pump basket and confirm that the lid has been re-installed properly.
- Turn on the pool equipment.
- Test pool chemicals and add chlorine or acid as needed to maintain proper sanitizer levels and PH.
- Brush down all pool walls, swim-outs, ledges, and steps. While brushing, observe the return flow to be sure that it is sufficient and the pool cleaner to ensure that it is moving properly and covering the entire pool. Brush any chlorine granules until they are fully dissolved.
- Inspect pool equipment pad and check the pumps/filter for any leaks or any other problems. Ensure that the pump strainer basket is clean and check filter pressure.
- Lift at least 50 pounds.
- Work outdoors in all weather.
- Drive a manual transmission work truck.
- Manage time properly in order to finish route on time.
- Work around the shop to ensure a full 8 hours of work is completed.
- After returning from route, inform management of any repairs needed or issues seen during the day.
- Maintain a cell phone in good working condition and communicate with management throughout the day.
- Service pools assigned by management, including extra pools (either on your or another route)
- Collect and deliver payments from customers.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
