Cornerstone’s Description of general laborers and form setters
- Laborers are essential for performing heavy manual tasks while strictly adhering to safety guidelines. A strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying hazards is crucial for maintaining a secure work environment.
Work Tasks
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time.
- Assist in the setup and teardown of construction sites.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- This position is responsible for performing tasks associated with concrete form setting, concrete finishing, rebar installation, and dirt work
- You will assist the foreman to verify work is in compliance with blueprints and specification and meets quality and safety standards
- Perform various formwork related tasks involving physical labor and the use of hand or power tools on heavy civil construction projects
- Study blueprints and sketches to construct concrete structures in accordance with project specifications
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform simple project layouts accurately
- Assemble and fasten materials with aluminum forms used to cast concrete structures using hand or power tools and screws, nails, or dowel pins
- Erect and dismantle forms and other supports for assembling structures above ground level
- Align, place and tie reinforcing steel mats and cages of various sizes
- Assist with pouring, distributing and finishing concrete
- Thoroughly and effectively communicate with foreman and crew members to resolve construction-related problems to eliminate delays and maintain efficiency
- Promote safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment including compliance with all safety rules and regulations established by the company and project owners

- The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions
- The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
Cornerstone’s Working conditions
- The Safety-Sensitive Laborer will work primarily outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions.
- The role may involve exposure to dust, noise, and hazardous materials.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory and will be provided by the company.
