Job Title: Senior Tax Manager
Location: 100% Onsite – You can work in Flower Mound, TX, or McKinney, TX, based on your location.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST
Duration: Full-Time | Direct Hire!
Job Duties:
- Lead tax compliance, planning, and risk management by overseeing accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, while identifying opportunities to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities.
- Mentor colleagues, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure high performance, productivity, and adherence to workflow deadlines and budgets (especially during tax season).
- Stay current on tax laws and accounting standards, monitor regulatory changes, and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective communication on tax-related matters.
- Foster client relationships by understanding client needs, recommending appropriate services, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Additional duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- CPA or EA required — CPA is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a CPA firm required.
- Must live within a 30-minute range of Flower Mound or McKinney.
- Experience with Excel, Sage (Peachtree/Sage 50), and QuickBooks is required.
- Must have experience working with multiple entities and corporate tax returns and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
