What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Engineer position at Cornerstone Recruiting?
We are currently seeking a Building Engineer for a client in the Kirkland, WA area. The Building Engineer will work under the direction of the Property Manager.
Duties
- Monitor all mechanical equipment within a commercial building that includes chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, air handles, fans, automatic temperature controls, electrical switch gear, fire alarm systems, and building automation systems.
- Interact with tenants and ensure all requests are answered
- Work with on-site contractors and vendors
- Effectively respond to and resolve client service calls
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Implement safety programs and protocols
- Effectively perform or direct to be performed routine building maintenance, repair tasks and light carpentry
- Operate building systems, including access and lighting controls, fire and life safety systems
- Demonstrate general experience operating and troubleshooting HVAC systems and controls
- Use company device to manage work orders
