A large speciality contractor is actively searching for an Construction Estimator to be based in St. Petersburg, FL. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating complex self-performed construction projects that make our nation's structures stronger and last longer. Projects typically consist of concrete repair, waterproofing, structural strengthening, post tension repairs, etc.

Job Duties :

• Preparing estimates by calculating various statistical data such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour, equipment costs and applying to complete scope of work
• Defining and quantifying scope of work and preparing comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates for projects
• Reviewing / researching historical data and compiling summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates
• Prepare project procurement (including design build) and buyouts to ensure the company has the necessary resources for project completion
• Develop detailed subcontractor scope packages, outlining specific work requirements, deliverables, and performance expectations for each trade involved in a construction project, ensuring clear communication and accurate cost estimation for each subcontractor bid
