Senior Communications Coordinator (HYBRID – based in Washington D.C, Chicago, Boston or New York)

Collaborating with Marketing leadership, subject matter experts, and the marketing team, the Senior Communications Coordinator will create engaging content for various channels, including the firm website, social media, and other marketing materials. They will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and contribute to the development and implementation of marketing communications strategies and campaigns.

Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position. A job offer and its corresponding salary will depend on one’s geographic location, and how closely a candidate’s skills, experience and education match the requirements for the role. At Cornerstone Research, we believe compensation is more than just a base salary. We offer a competitive total compensation package that includes an annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits including a variety of healthcare plans, paid time off, transit subsidy, wellness benefits and retirement plan contributions.

Chicago: $66,100-$84,100
Boston: $67,300-$85,700
New York: $65,300-$83,100

- In collaboration with Marketing leadership, develop and contribute to high-quality, brand consistent, and strategic marketing communications materials.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and marketing team members to gather information and insights for content development.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing communications strategies and campaigns.
- Support communications projects from concepts to delivery.
- Draft content for the firm's website including articles, bios and other web content.
- Contribute to the firm’s social channels, including developing content in partnership with the MarComm team, and scheduling relevant posts on LinkedIn, Facebook and other social networks.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies regarding client confidentiality.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Conduct research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in marketing communications.
- Provide support for special projects and events, such as conferences, and client events.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
- 3 years relevant experience in marketing communications, writing, or a related field, preferably in a professional services, legal services or financial services environment.
- Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with content strategy and creation for a variety of channels.
- Creative thinking, strong writing, and sound editorial judgment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong research skills, with ability to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Project management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze information and make deliberate content decisions.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to edit and refine content.
- Understanding of social media marketing and content creation for different platforms and audiences.
- Basic understanding of HTML.
- Knowledge of professional services industry and how marketing content supports business objectives.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms and email marketing software is a plus.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and interest in developing content on social media platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of keyword research and optimization to improve content visibility is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience required.
