About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing construction projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with the company owners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to establish project timelines and delivery schedules. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion.
Budget Management: Develop and manage detailed project budgets, tracking costs and identifying potential cost-saving measures. Review and approve invoices and change orders to ensure accurate financial reporting. Monitor project expenditures and identify any cost overruns or potential risks.
Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project plans and building codes. Oversee the work of subcontractors and ensure they are performing to the required standards. Address any site issues or challenges promptly and effectively.
Quality Control: Implement quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets the highest standards. Perform regular inspections to identify and rectify any quality issues. Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and inspection reports.
Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and regulations on the construction site. Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment. Respond to any safety incidents promptly and efficiently.
Client Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, keeping them informed of project progress, challenges, and solutions. Address client concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the construction team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide guidance and support to team members, including training and mentoring. Resolve conflicts and disputes among team members or subcontractors.
Qualifications and Skills: 5 years of experience in construction/management. Proven track record of successful project delivery, including experience in [specific types of construction projects, e.g., commercial, residential, industrial]. Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and industry standards. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in construction management software. Valid driver's license.
