What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1:1 Paraprofessional position at Cornerstone School?

Openings in Upper Elementary, Middle School, High School, and Transition Age Classrooms.
- Ensures confidentiality in regard to all student information.
- Supports the social/emotional and educational development of students.
- Assists with routine classroom clerical and maintenance activities..
- Support student in activities of daily living
- Work collaboratively with a larger, multi-disciplinary team to support student progress toward IEP goals
- Collect relevant data under the supervision of a highly qualified teacher
- Implements inclusive activities, and teacher-planned lessons as directed by the Special Education teacher.
- Communicates student issues and concerns to teacher/team members.
- Maintains a professional attitude and relationship with all staff.
- Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth, and attends professional development opportunities as required.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Demonstrate and model at all times expected professional behavior in the classroom and in the community
- Demonstrate the ability to work as a member of an educational team.
- Demonstrate universal precaution, proper lifting, changing and feeding techniques on an on-going basis.
