Handyman/Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set to handle various maintenance and repair tasks in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while ensuring safety and efficiency. Must have own tools. Must have transportation.

Duties

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks.
• Utilize tools and equipment effectively, including the use of an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify issues that require attention.
• Respond promptly to service requests and complete work efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with other team members as needed to complete larger projects or repairs.
• Ensure all work areas are clean and organized after completing tasks.

Experience

• Proven experience (at least 1 year) as a Handy Man or in a similar role is required.
• Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and plumbing is essential; experience using an ohmmeter is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose problems quickly.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
