Paralegal Assistant

CornerStone Staffing has partnered with City of Dallas and is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal Assistant to join our team in Dallas, TX.

The ideal candidate will assist with case planning, legal research, document drafting, and trial preparation for collection cases.

Job Title: Paralegal Assistant

Pay rate: $25/hour

Location: Downtown Dallas, TX

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with case planning, development, and legal searches
• Interview clients, gather facts, and retrieve necessary information
• Draft and analyze legal documents; compile and use technical information to support attorneys
• Meet with attorneys and clients to discuss case progress and strategies
• Interview clients and witnesses, preparing summaries of their statements
• Support attorneys in trial preparation, including attending hearings and trials when needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Paralegal certificate required
• Experience in a paralegal role OR currently pursuing a paralegal certificate or degree
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent writing ability, with attention to spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Capable of working independently with strong time management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• High school diploma or GED required
