What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Lead - 2nd shift position at Cornerstone Staffing Inc?

Cornerstone Staffing has partnered with a local manufacturer and is looking to hire a Production Lead for their 2nd shift. Duties for the Production Lead may include operating light filling and packaging equipment and preparing products for shipment. Documentation of work and routine quality checks also are necessary. The facility is a clean, climate-controlled environment.

Basic Details for the Production Lead :

Title : Production Lead

Hours : 2nd shift (normal hours are 1 : 30pm-10pm,

Pay : $21-22 / hr, really depends on experience

Direct hire with FULL benefits

Location for the Production Lead :

Located in NE Omaha, close to the airport

Responsibilities for the Production Lead :

Direct, train, and supervise line associates / temporary workers in a positive manner.

Perform specific tasks efficiently and accurately as requested by the Production Supervisor before, during, and after production.

Assist the Production Supervisor with enforcing safe work practices.

Responsible for Quality Checks.

Maintain a clean work environment.

Duties and Tasks for the Production Lead :

Check that materials are released, and area has been cleared of previous packaging materials.

Check machines prior to starting.

Monitor operation for complying instructions.

Oversee corrections and bring them to management's attention

Check product during and after operation to ensure proper packaging.

Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.

Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods as established by the plant supervisor in positive manner.

Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

Qualifications for the Production Lead :

The qualified candidate must possess a High School education, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and experience in production.

Experience in a sanitary environment is a plus.
