Responsibilities
Process and verify vendor invoices with accurate coding and timely payment, including handling non-Purchase Order (PO) and PO invoices.
Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and research complex invoices, including monthly statements.
Prepare payment batches, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial standards, and applicable accounting guidelines.
Respond to vendor payment inquiries via email, phone, or other communication methods.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes.
Collaborate with internal departments, including the supply chain, to resolve PO and UCM issues.
Reconcile open payables and ensure recurring payments are processed accurately.
Assist with month-end closing processes, reporting, and resolving EDI Error and RNI reports.
Participate in the testing and implementation of new systems and processes.
Provide support to the Accounts Payable team with special projects or additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
2 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to maintain positive vendor relationships.
