Job Title: Healthcare Customer Support Representative
Location: Cary, North Carolina (100% On-Site)
Pay: $20.40/HR
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM EST
- Must be available to work one Saturday each month.
- Training schedule: Between 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST. A set work schedule will be assigned after training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for inbound calls, addressing non-clinical customer inquiries such as prescription status and financial information.
- Schedule medication deliveries and payments while maintaining accurate customer profiles to ensure timely distribution.
- Respond to customer inquiries directly or route calls to appropriate staff for resolution, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Update progress notes to facilitate seamless communication within the workflow.
- Provide customer service by navigating management information systems to address refill needs, prescription status updates, insurance verification, and invoice requests.
- Assist patients during refill scheduling, escalating concerns to clinical teams when necessary.
- Report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to clinicians to maintain patient safety.
- Perform additional duties as needed, tailored to specific team or program requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of call center or customer service experience. Familiarity with medical terminology or pharmacy experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and empathetic tone.
- Experience using management information systems to address customer needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented with a professional telephone manner.
- Customer service experience in a call center setting is required (no retail).
- Medical office experience or knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Must be willing to complete a typing and customer service assessment.
