Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Jeffersonville, IN 47130
Work Schedule: 100% Onsite
1st Shift: $18.95/hour
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
2nd Shift: $18.95/hour $0.75 shift differential
- Monday: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Tuesday – Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Every 3rd Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Note: First day of assignment starts at 2:00 PM for all shifts.
Job Overview:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist licensed pharmacists in delivering top-tier pharmaceutical care. Your role involves handling medications efficiently in a high-energy, customer-focused environment while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Medication Dispensing:
- Accurately prepare and label prescription medications.
- Measure, count, and package medications per prescription orders.
- Restock automated dispensing systems by handling large quantities of medication bottles and cases.
- Ensure correct labeling and instructions for patient use.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace.
Inventory Control:
- Rotate stock regularly to prevent expired medications.
Compliance & Regulations:
- Follow all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and guidelines.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Assist with documentation and record-keeping for prescriptions and medications.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Technician Trainee License
- Resides within 30 miles of Jeffersonville, IN
- At least 1 year of prior pharmacy experience
- Ability to lift and move objects from shelves to the filling station
- Capable of carrying 20–30 lbs. short distances and 15 lbs. for extended periods
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
- Basic proficiency in math, reading, and writing
