Cornerstone is seeking a GIS Technician to join our team.

Travel Requirements: Occasionally site visits required.
Essential Functions:
- Manages and maintains complex GIS databases, analyzes and interprets digital data sets, maps, aerial photography, and other spatial datasets.
- Performs GIS data conversion, transformation, and spatial analysis while applying professional cartographic techniques to develop maps and map series.
- Utilizes digital data input methods such as digitizing, scanning, coordinate geometry, and georeferencing to support infrastructure and environmental projects.
- The GIS Technician will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure data integrity and produce high-quality cartographic products and other presentation materials using GIS software.
- Creates drawing deliverables and is experienced in all areas of preliminary and construction property plats, property sketches, alignment sheets, permit drawings, site-specific drawings, hydro static drawings, client-requested route-specific exhibits, and typical drawings for construction methods
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Thorough understanding of GIS principles, concepts, and methodologies, including coordinate systems, transformations, and projections.
- Strong knowledge of state land survey laws, standards, and procedures for both states
- Experience with GPS, robotic total stations, and other advanced survey technologies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Strong Written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with oil & gas, transportation, or utility corridor projects.
- Familiarity with coastal and wetland surveying regulations in Louisiana.
- Knowledge of subdivision platting, title surveys, and easement documentation
